The Association will lobby on members behalf on regulation and bureaucracy matters regarding home hosting • Members use of the logo indicate to travellers that they are quality assessed and meet the standards set down by the Association • Members have access to speedy, professional advice regarding all hosting issues • Subscriptions are reasonable and affordable and tax deductible • Being a member immediately qualifies you for a free listing on the Association’s website which means it is a ‘free’ marketing tool • Members can individually affiliate to TIANZ (Tourism Industry Assn of New Zealand) for a greatly reduced subscription. They offer benefits such as discounts, reduced credit card rates, travel accommodation to name a few. • Members can network and be part of regional groups, and attend the national conference • For a reasonable cost, members can advertise in the Bed & Breakfast Association NEW ZEALAND´s Accommodation Directory. Any printed material on which a member has included the Association logo is to be submitted to the secretary, if requested. The Association Logo must not be a principal feature on such printed material. Members who resign from the Association are obligated to notify the national secretary of their resignation. It is advisable that members state in their advertising the type of breakfast they serve, ie continental or full. Support other members of the Association, including the referral of would-be guests when unable to accommodate those persons. (as per the Association’s Constitution 10.6). It is not considered acceptable to refer an overflow of guests to friends.
